FAQ

How do I use Cameron's Tallow Balm?

For the face, start with a clean face, then apply a pea-sized amount of tallow balm by warming it between your fingertips and massaging it in circular motions, allowing it to absorb for a restorative treatment, especially at night. For the body, use after a shower or bath on slightly damp skin, massaging a generous amount into dry or rough areas, and let it absorb before dressing. For hair, apply a small amount to the scalp and dry ends as a pre-wash treatment for 15-30 minutes or use a tiny amount as a leave-in conditioner to reduce frizz and add shine. For lips, apply a small amount directly with your fingertip and reapply as needed to keep lips soft and moisturized.

Is it important whether my skin is dry or oily?

Cameron's Tallow Balm is perfect for nourishing dry skin and balancing oily, acne-prone skin by regulating oil production. Its similarity to natural sebum makes it highly effective.

Can I apply tallow balm to my face?

Unquestionably. Cameron's Tallow Balm is tailored for your face, body, hair, lips, and any desired area. Our high-quality ingredients are chosen for their non-comedogenic properties, keeping your pores unclogged and your skin glowing.

Where is our tallow balm made?

We take great pride in manufacturing and producing our Tallow Balms in-house, right here in Australia.

Is it usual to notice surface imperfections on my Tallow Balm?

Yes, this is entirely normal. Our Tallow Balms are freshly made with natural ingredients, which can sometimes cause surface irregularities as the balm dries and hardens. These are purely aesthetic and do not impact the product's effectiveness. Such variations are typical with natural ingredients, primarily due to the fatty acids and beeswax crystallizing, especially in cooler weather.

Are your ingredients organic?

We select the most effective natural ingredients available and prioritize sourcing organic components whenever possible, including our beef suet. If an organic option isn't feasible, we ensure that our ingredients are sustainably sourced and obtained from local suppliers.

How should I store my Tallow Balm?

Keep your Tallow Balm at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Similar to other fats such as ghee, and coconut butter, tallow softens in warmer conditions and solidifies when it gets cooler.

What is the shelf life of my Tallow Balm?

Our Tallow Balm boasts a naturally long shelf life without needing preservatives or chemical emulsifiers, which can disrupt hormones and endocrine functions. Thanks to the inherent stability of our ingredients, your balm will last for up to 6 months when kept in a cool, dry place, even without added preservatives.

Unlike many plant-based oils that can spoil faster due to high polyunsaturated fat content and the loss of antioxidants during high-heat processing, tallow remains stable and resilient.
